Incubating our duck eggs

Last year we raised day old chicks and day old goslings successfully. The geese are nearly fully grown, and one of the chick (full grown hens now) has started to lay eggs. So with this success, we decided to try our hand at hatching duck eggs. Our ducks give us 2 fertile eggs a day so for the past 3 days we have been collecting these and placing them in our recently purchased egg incubator. The incubator seems to be well made, and keeps the eggs at 37.5 degrees C, 55 – 65% humidity, and rotates the eggs every 2 hours. All we have to do is keep the water topped up and wait 28 days. Hopefully we will hatch several healthy ducklings. We will keep you updated as things move along.
